Brussels Market, Cycle, Flanders Harley Davidson MC

Back from the markets at Midi/Zuid station in Brussels and another not far from there featuring "broccante" - used goods. Few real farmers but probably 1271 booths - clothing, perfume, electronics, fabrics, toys, tools, meat, veggies, fruit, bread, cheese, wine, spices, olives, etc. No acceptable cycles. No big brass door knockers. One thief caught running away with towels or some such. I bought basil and cherries. Ate cherries on way back to train.

Shopped on line for used bike, one is now in sight.

I went out this p.m. For 2 hours north toward Gent. About 35 km? Farm land. A few new houses that have adopted the US design that shows the opening to the 2 car garage as the prime view from the street. Others, new and old more interesting and some are very interesting designs. I am guessing that people overspent on real estate here, too.

Darn rechargeable batteries in camera went bad so I missed some good photos.

After changing from cycle gear went downstairs to Hellekappel which has a street celebration today with music, a air-filled plastic jump enclosure for the kids, tents, tables, chairs, paella, special Hellekappel beer. And it seems to be co-sponsored by the Flanders Harley Davidson Club. Yes, they have black leather jackets, dyed blondes.... But I think it was in their clubhouse across the street where they paella was cooked and a number of them were drinking coca cola.... On the other hand I just heard a kid say "hey you SOB...."
